Stage
One is dedicated to supporting new producers and productions
in the commercial theatre. It fulfils a crucial role at the
heart of the theatre industry. In today's tough financial
environment, producing and raising investment for a theatre
production has become ever more difficult and complex. Stage
One is committed to nurturing new talent, supporting current
producers, and sustaining the future of quality theatre in
this country.
Founded
in 1976, Stage One is run by a Council consisting of many
of the
major theatre producers, managers and owners in the UK.
