BURSARIES FOR NEW PRODUCERS

The Bursary Scheme is currently closed for new applications. The next round is in Autumn 2012.

The Bursaries for New Producers scheme provides financial and practical assistance to new theatre producers with a view to furthering their careers. The scheme aims to facilitate and encourage the development of the next generation of commercial theatre producers.

‘The Stage One bursary was the single most important step towards my becoming a producer. It gave me the confidence to put on a show in the West End. The help, advice and financial support enabled me to take myself seriously as a producer and worked to demystify the whole intimidating process of producing theatre.’
Matthew Byam Shaw, recipient of Stage One bursary in 2000, www.playfuluk.com

The Bursary Scheme would not be possible without the generous support of:

The Underwood Trust
The Mackintosh Foundation
Lady Saunders
David Dein
Andrew Treagus Associates

Shaftesbury Hub for New Producers

Stage One is able to offer Central London office space with hot desks, wi-fi and a meeting room for recipients of our Bursary and Start-Up schemes. We would like to thank Shaftesbury PLC and Jamie Hendry Productions Ltd for making this possible.
