Bridge the Gap

A Free Development Programme for Underrepresented Theatre Producers

Open to individuals based across the country, the programme supports emerging producers to develop the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to transition into commercial theatre producing. Participants will be part of a supportive cohort of peers, have sessions delivered by indsutry leaders and have access to Stage One's annual workshops. Bridge the Gap exists to address barriers to entry and to help create a more diverse and representative producing workforce.

Stage One recognises our responsibility to remain actively committed to diversity by amplifying voices across our industry, deepening our understanding through continuous learning and ensuring diverse stories are told on stage and reflected in our audiences.

I now feel more excited and equipped to work commercially - Bridge the Gap has confirmed that this is the right next step for me.

A year ago I knew I was interested but I couldn't clearly see a path from A to B, this feels much clearer for me now and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead.
